Best Places to See Fireworks in Las Vegas with Kids

The Fourth of July in Las Vegas is easily one of the most festive Independence Day celebrations in the nation. From Boulder City to Henderson, Summerlin and the Strip, Las Vegas skyline will be lit up with fireworks displays. Can’t catch one of the free shows? There are many places around the Las Vegas valley with great vantage points to catch the brilliant displays.

Tips to see the fireworks in Las Vegas

Wherever you plan to watch the fireworks, from a local park (list below of our favorite parks to scan the skies) or the Strip, If  get there early. Pack sunscreen and water above all else.

If you want to get around on the Strip, the Las Vegas Monorail is a good option for public transportation. 

 


Fourth of July Fireworks in Las Vegas

In Las Vegas on July 4, just step outside and you will more than likely have a good view of fireworks. However, these casinos and hotels will launch a 10-minute display promptly at 9 p.m.

Where to Watch Fireworks in the Las Vegas Valley

Henderson

  • The City of Henderson hosts Fourth of July event at Heritage Park (350 E. Racetrack Rd.)  featuring a fireworks display and a live entertainment. The event is free to attend and runs from 6-9 p.m. with a fireworks show at 9 p.m. that will be paired with music by Mix 94.1.
  • Summerlin Patriotic Parade is celebrating its 31st year with more than 2,500 people participating and 70 entries in the parade, including a a float “Wicked: Fun on the Fourth” and an All-Star Salute to the Military, a  50-foot American Eagle, a Grand Old Flag, and more. Hosted by Sherry Swensk and J.C. Fernandez from 8 News Now and Mercedes Martinez and Julian from 94.1.
  • Green Valley Ranch Resort will also be doing fireworks starting at 9 p.m. The backyard pool area and it’s free if you are a guest.
  • Lake Las Vegas launches fireworks at 9 p.m. so bring chairs, blankets, and water to the Village for the best vantage point but no outside food and alcohol, because that’s not permitted.
  • M Resort is setting off fireworks at 9 p.m. and bonus, you can tune into iHeartRadio stations to listen to patriotic music: 93.1 The Mountain, The Bull 95.5, Sunny 106.5, and Real 103.9.

Northwest

Blast Off in the Basin with Mayor Shelley Berkley and Councilwomen Nancy Brune and Francis Allen-Palenske. Bring the family, some low-back chairs, blankets and plenty of water to enjoy this free Fourth of July fireworks show in Las Vegas. There will be a spectacular aerial display, marching band, music and more! Food trucks will offer refreshments for sale. Let them know you’re coming here.

Parking is tricky and is $20 if you go to the Damboree at Veterans’ Memorial Park.

Make a day of it! Get there early and stay for the Boulder City Damboree festivities that start at 4 p.m. and culminate in free fireworks at 9 p.m.

Free Places to Watch Fireworks on the Strip

I’m not going to lie, it’s going to be a zoo, but there are a few places where you can go and check out the fireworks on the Strip for free. Get there early and be prepared to buy a drink or bring a snack and personal fan if you are outside.\

  • The pedestrian bridge by the Bellagio is adjacent to Caesars Palace, Venetian, Treasure Island, and more.
  • A longtime favorite is the top floors of the Rio and the Orleans garages.
