More parents are asking about online classes this year, for obvious reasons. A few Vegas Kids Zone readers mentioned Scattered Solutions, so we reached out to ask them about their online classes and programs with professional teachers. We have found online classes and courses to be well above what we expected in the quality of instruction and curriculum. The teachers are awesome!

What are your most popular classes?
Right now, our most popular program is our Scattered Summer virtual summer camp offering that we just launched. We are capping it only ten scholars per class, so we have seen a lot of parents securing a spot with their favorite coach.
We’re camp people at heart, so it’s been exciting to see the families beginning to enroll in this amazing new summer program.
As far as classes go, it truly depends on the age, times and interests of the scholars and parents.
For toddlers: Interactive Adventures where Coach Claire and her puppet pals take the little ones on an adventure using fun and colorful virtual backgrounds, as well as music and movement.
For preschoolers: Circle Time: Interactive Listening and Learning with Coach Nikki where scholars practice life and social skills, review the day, date, month, and weather, as well as learn educational songs and dances. As well as Animal Phonics and Let’s Get Active with Coach Amanda.
For elementary schoolers: A huge variety of hands-on interest-based classes from Baking with Coach Jessie, Science Experiments, and Nature Crafts with Coach Kristen, as well as Story Time with Coach David.
For middle schoolers: The interest-based camps that dive deeper into subjects such as Coach Travis’ Underwater Investigations, Coach Donovan’s Drama Camp, Coach David’s Culinary Camp and Coach Ellis’ music courses.

What tips can you offer parents to use your online program?
We are here for you and we want to make sure we are providing resources and support for both you and your scholar. We also want to make it as easy as possible for you. If you email our Scattered Summer Support team (info@scatteredschool.com) with your child’s age, your day / time preferences (as well as how many weeks) and your child’s interests. They will be happy to craft a summer program schedule for you!
Our schedule was created with age-appropriate attention spans and screen-free sunshine challenges in mind. The structure and consistency of short daily programming, as well as the opportunities for social connection and movement, will be more valuable than ever this summer.
We will also be providing activities to work on at home to get outside after camp to keep your scholar engaged, learning and having fun all summer long.
How is Scattered Solutions different than other online programs?
In addition to our small class sizes and vetted team of coaches, we have continued to adapt and evolve our class offerings to meet the needs of our families during this difficult time. For our scholars, that has meant providing daily opportunities for them to socialize, experiment, craft, sing, dance, and have fun with our amazing team of coaches. For parents, this has meant crafting classes and schedules that align with parent work schedules so that their scholar can stay engaged and participate independently while their parents work.
We offer both drop-in classes and week camps, as well as virtual full summer programming. We have seen a ton of interest in summer programming especially from working families and companies who want to provide childcare support for their employees.
Despite the limitations in place this summer, we feel confident that summer can still be social, structured, safe, and a whole lot of fun! Scholars will have the chance to meet friends from around the world, discover new interests, explore new activities, and have a blast during our Scattered Solutions Summer Programming.

How do you find teachers? What do you look for in a teacher?
