Summer camps are back! From day-long camps for kids of all ages to small classes for tweens, teens and young entrepreneurs, there are many options across the valley for kids to gain skills, make friends and find inspiration this summer.
Local Summer camps are in higher demand after months at home and school closures, so sign up early and take advantage of early-bird specials. Some offer a full curriculum in fun and relaxed ways for parents who worry about the Covid-19 or Summer Slide (is that actually a thing?). Kids code throughout the week then demo their week’s creations on Friday afternoon. Offline instruction is weaved into the day along with lunch at 11:50 a.m. They have a very low student to teacher ratio so your kids really learn to code. Early drop-off and late pick-up available. More than a summer camp, Kids ‘R’ Kids offers technology-filled classrooms, highly trained educational staff, live stream cameras, a security code entry and exclusive curriculum. They have tailored programs for kids infant to 12 years old.

Summer camps begin June 1 and include much more than coding and creating. Kids will learn how to create and work together in Minecraft and Roblox as well as an assortment of language for Block coding to Python, Robotics and Drones. Seats are very limited so sign up early.
Owner Craig Barishman is a longtime local teacher and handpicks his sensei so kids can get one-on-one instruction in the coding dojo. The area is large with kids easily set up six-feet apart and the computer-rich environment is continually cleaned.
School of Rock

Rock 101 camp is for beginners 7-12 years of age. No experience needed. Students will explore their instruments through musical games and activities. There are different camps to choose from each week, from Nirvana and Green Day themed camps to Rock 101 Boot Camp.

This popular local art camp is moving online! Kim Bavington took her talents online during the quarantine and created Art in a Box.
