I get so many people asking what area in town is the best for families. The answer is always the same, it depends. I reached out and talked to my favorite resource Realtor Dave NV to ask all your questions about buying, selling or just staying put in this very HOT market!

Your ideal neighborhood should fit with your preferences. Two of the main neighborhoods are Henderson and Summerlin, both of which have master-planned communities.

The amenities and housing options in Summerlin cater to a wide variety of lifestyles, from adventurous families to active retirees. In this hot market, Summerlin ticks off a lot of boxes for many families, particularly those coming in from California who are used to outdoor activities close to home.

If you are moving, best advice I’ve received is to keep a simple planner with alllll your info on a clipboard by the door so you don’t forget those important numbers, due dates, timelines to pack and unpack, and keep all those moving parts that come with moving organized in one place. The planner is on sale, $4 off, and free for clients of Realtor Dave NV!

The gateway to the Red Rock Canyon, Summerlin is filled with walking paths that wind throughout Summerlin, where many homes offer remarkable mountain, city and Strip views.

There are more than two dozen top-rated schools, including 10 nationally-recognizedprivate schools and 16 public schools as well as charters and some of the best public schools in Clark County.

And the golf! Summerlin area has a sought-after high-end golf clubs, including TPC Summerlin and TPC Las Vegas.

The Las Vegas Golden Knights primary practice facility is located in Summerlin, as is the Las Vegas Stadium, which draws loyal fans of the Aviators, Oakland A’s new Triple-A affiliate.

Each village has a dedicated park and there are several community parks that are destination areas for families, with water features for kids to splash in nearly 9 months out of the year. Churches, temples and worshipping centers are abundant in this master-planned community.

What to Ask Before You Buy

Dave Reichert of EXP Realty can help you find your ideal home in the Las Vegas valley. He knows this town from bike path to 3-bath 4 bedroom home and what area would best suit your family’s lifestyle and needs.

Families moving to Summerlin should take their time to check out the many areas before settling down. A good realtor will let you peruse the foothills, downtown or one of the gated communities to find what fits best for your family and lifestyle.

Ask questions of your realtor and have a good checklist of priorities ready so they can narrow down what is available for you to see in different the many different villages in Summerlin.
