The library? Yup! It is packed with free online resources that can save you hundreds of dollars. Whether you homeschool or need help on math skills, local libraries offer a wide variety of free educational programs. You can use them for your homeschool or to supplement your education, hone hobbies and interests. Interested in history?  Learn more about the ancient world and important historical events. Need a solid ELA program? and IXL are both available at library districts around the country for FREE (check your local branch). 

The library district is continually adding more to its online resources. We also have a growing list of free or low-cost online curriculum. Check out the well-stocked Homeschool Room at its Centennial Hills Library. With all the library offers, you can get a free online education at any age and for any interests.

Educational endeavors can be expensive. Libraries offer free programs that can save you time and money tracking down established and proven programs. The Great Courses delves into history, geography, languages and more and can cost around $90 a year. Sign in to learn languages for free with the highly acclaimed, and otherwise relatively expensive, Rosetta Stone.

Free Crafting with Creativebug

The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District recently added Creativebug to its online resources! This free online program has oodles of fun activities for kids and parents. It has everything from knitting and crocheting to building birdhouses, picture frames and marble runs. There are more than 1000+ arts and crafts tutorials for littles, tweens, teens and weekend craft warriors to do! Without your trusty library card, it’s $10 a month to access Creative Bug’s kid-friendly tutorials. We are digging cooking and painting. Have you tried it yet?!
